5 Things to Know about the Food Truck Roundup Sunday

Fairlawn hosting first event of its kind on Sept. 1

1. The Food Truck Roundup, sponsored by the Fairlawn Parks and Recreation Department, runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 1 at Bicentennial Park.

2. There will be music, too, with bands Zobapago playing at noon, Beyond Blue and the Voodoo Doctors at 2 p.m. and 7 Mile Isle Steel Drum Band at 5 p.m.

3. Other entertainment includes a balloon twister, magician and juggler. There will also be volleyball and cornhole, and the Fairlawn naturalists will have a table.

4. Food trucks include: The Orange TrukZydeco Bistro, Wholly FrijolesPig Lickin Good BBQMobile Sushi Bar by Sushi on the RollUmami MotoSweet Mobile CupcakeStone PelicanJibaro, Fired Up Tacos, Hodge Podge TruckKravEast Coast CustardsThe PopsmithRolling Pig and Swensons.

5. A portion of the food proceeds will go to the Fairlawn Community Foundation, which helps bring fireworks to your Fourth of July each year.
