Maker Gear 2 open house.

Last week I attended the open House at Maker Gear 2 in Beachwood. I was made aware of it through Bizdom. Bizdom is a tech entrepeneur start-up in Tower City. I submitted my R.S.V.P. and was there

My experience at the open house was as follows. The owner recognized me as I walked through the door as being a blogger (and was that okay with that) The environment was a loading dock with about 30 printers working on manufacturing... more 3d printers. The first gentleman I spoke to was originally from the area and was looking to possibly begin to get the education to service printers. The first employee I spoke with was a former pizza tosser that has been with the company one and a half years and said his main attribute was being a quick learner and demonstrated a top down 3 arm prototype that maker may begin manufacturing. Finally, I met with a recent Cincinatti graduate that moved to the other corner of the state to specifically for Maker gear.

I found three values during the open house one that values the industry, values opportunity and values the company under the same roof. So let's not lessen the value of speaking of 3-d printing as its going to be a flash in the pan technology as these were 3 forward thinking individuals. As soon as I locate notes from the webinar I attended those will be up too!
