How Fairlawn & Bath Residents Voted In the 2012 Election

We delve into election results to see how Fairlawn and Bath residents voted on the presidential, senate and other races down the ballot.

Barack Obama won the national vote and he won in Ohio. He also won in Fairlawn, according to unofficial vote totals from the Summit County Board of Elections. Barack Obama Re-Elected President

President Obama defeated Republican Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election.

President Barack Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden were re-elected Tuesday night, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his vice-presidential running mate Rep. Paul Ryan. NBC News called the presidential election for Obama around 11:15 EST. The president sent a message on Twitter at 10:14 saying simply, "This happened because of you. Thank you." Barack Obama Wins Ohio

Voters in Ohio on Tuesday cast their ballot for Barack Obama, giving the president the state's 18 Electoral votes.

President Barack Obama won Ohio’s 18 electoral votes on Tuesday, defeating Republican Mitt Romney. In the 2008 presidential election, the state voted for Barack Obama, and since the 1990s, has voted for the overall winner of the presidential race every time. Romney and Obama campaigned aggressively in Ohio. The state has typically been a battleground state in recent presidential elections.  The economy was a key issue for many voters in the state, as was healthcare.
