Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

About this column:

There's a lot of thoughts rolling around in my brain. This is just a sample of one.
Dear Fairlawn-Bath Patch Readers, Your loyal editor, Megan Rozsa (that's me!), is shipping off for vacation in the woody hills of middle-of-nowhere Ontario, Canada, on Saturday, July 14. I will return on Tuesday, July 24. In the meantime, this really cool guy named Dave Wilson will be filling in for me. He'll go all the same places I do: city council meetings, school board meetings, businesses and more. Dave doesn't live in Fairlawn like I do, so if you hear of something going on, please let him know by e-mailing fallsguy@aol.com. You can also leave him a message on our Facebook wall or on …
Today marks my one-year anniversary with Patch, and I've gotta tell you, it was the fastest year in my working life. I started with Patch as an associate local editor in the east side region of Patches. I worked for all eight Patches as, essentially, a full-time freelancer and social media guru. In January, I became your new Fairlawn-Bath Patch local editor, and I made the leap to the west side of town. This past year has been, as cliche as it sounds, a dream come true. We'll be there until about 10:30, so stop in and say hi. We'd love to hear what you have to say about how we're …

In case you missed the million tweets and Facebook posts, today was our one-year anniversary, lovingly known as Patchiversary. We celebrated at Robeks on West Market from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and managed to give away 12 free smoothies and tons of Patch swag. We had 10 people sign up to receive our newsletter, which also entered them into a drawing to win a $25 Robeks gift card, and the winner is Randy Rager! Congratulations, Randy, and thank you for your support! A big thank you to Robeks for letting us park for two hours and promote our site! And thank you all for your support each and every …
