Give a second chance to a shelter animal. They just want love and attention and will gladly give it Read Moreback! Do pet shops really know where their animals come from, apparently not.

Where those comments from Kathy or another sales associate? Or maybe from an onlooker who had noRead Morekn owledge of why your sister wanted a refund? Mistakes do happen and perhaps the company had been duped that the litter was purebred. I'm sorry your sister felt judged badly. I had a very different experience there and found the people there to be fair and understanding. Although everyone had wanted the transaction to happen, in the end, I had to change my mind and they refunded the money for the dog I had purchased. The pup was not a good fit for my family and I returned her because I wanted her to have the opportunity to find a family where she would be truly happy. My other animals where unhappy with the timid pup and she was fearful of them, too. We all agreed it was better to return her than to risk her health and happiness as well as the upset everyone felt within this situation. I received the refund upon the return of the puppy and she found a happier situation as an "only" pet.

This company is not trustworthy at all. I am a lover of a certain breed of toy spaniel, whichRead Morenation ally (from certified trustworthy breeders is prohibited from being sold for resale/in pet stores). I have seen this breed several times at this establishment- meaning they are getting the dogs from puppy mills. The owners must know, and are turning a blind eye to this disgusting practice. I have also seen the pups in the confined areas soiled with filthy cages. I have mentioned this an the staff seemed rather uncaring. I think it downgrades our area to even have a pet store that actually sells dogs and cats--- because it is perpetuating mills and demand for the practice. Bath/Fairlawn/Copley is better and more educated than this! I agree with the earlier comment- my animals are from rescues and they are THE BEST!
