Join Pawsibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron on Saturday, October 27^th from 10AM-6PM as they celebrate Red, White and Bullies - National Pit Bull Awareness Day & Adopt-a-thon.  In May 2012, the state of Ohio removed state wide Breed Specific Legislation that labeled all pit bulls vicious, based solely on their breed.  Now that they have the same rights as every other breed, it’s time to celebrate their independence!

They will have pit bull myths, fun facts, updates on their alumni adopted pit bulls, raffles and refreshments! But the fun doesn’t stop there – all of PHSGA animals are eager to celebrate their pitbull friends freedom that they are offering reduced adoptions for this day only.  All dogs*(over the age of 6 months) will be only $55 and cats*(over the age of 6 months) will be only $5! The shelter is located at 7996 Darrow Road in Twinsburg.  For any questions regarding the event, contact Heather Kinaitis at hkinaitis@summithumane.org.*- upon application approval
