Wisconsin Woman Caught Switching Price Tags on Giant Eagle Books

Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A Wisconsin woman was seen switching price tags on 13 books at Giant Eagle on Jan. 5, according to Fairlawn police.

Jodi Ventura, 33, was walking up and down aisles, concealing items totaling $33.48 before stopping at the store's book section, police said.

The store security saw her switch price tags on 13 books, making them ring up at $10.59, when they should have rung up at $205.66, according to police.

Ventura was caught before leaving the store and released with a court summons.
