Tom Kelley Steps Down from Bath Zoning Commission
He will continue his work with the Revere Local Schools board.
Tom Kelley might be stepping down from the Bath Zoning Commission, but he’ll still be plenty involved with the community.
Kelley, who is also a member of the Revere Local Schools board, put in his resignation from the zoning commission before the meeting last week. After being elected to the school board in 2012, he realized it was too much to take on at once.
“That’s a huge time commitment,” Kelley said.
And the timing is right on the zoning commission. The group has been rewriting the township’s zoning code for the past few years, and that project is in its final stages. Kelley said his term was going to run out at the end of June, anyway, and he thought the new year would be a good time for some new officers to take charge.
Kelley, a local attorney and active volunteer in the community, has been on the commission for a little more than 9 years and has served as its chair.
According to Ohio.com, trustees will appoint a new member of the zoning commission.
