Thousands in Daily Deposits Stolen from Ohio Family Practice Center
Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department.
Sometime between Jan. 3 and Jan. 9, the billing manager at Ohio Family Practice Centers on Smith Road noticed $4,080 was stolen from the deposit envelopes in her desk drawer, according Fairlawn police.
The money was to be deposited on Jan. 3, but the manager was sick, and it was left in the unlocked desk drawer. When the employee returned on Jan. 4, it wasn't there and it was assumed someone had done the deposit on her behalf, police said.
There are no suspects, but the practice did hire a new cleaning company in December. There was no forced entry either into the building or the desk drawer, police said.
