On Dec. 8, 2011, Bath Township native and Revere High graduate Aaron Hale was injured in a bomb explosion while on tour in Afghanistan. On Saturday, he came home for the first time since the incident to celebrate life, community support and family.

"This is a celebration of Aaron's life and his achievements and sacrifices," said Sonny Bare, Hale's best friend from high school. "He has had multiple reconstructive surgeries and he was blinded from the injuries."

Flip through the photos and watch the video above to see more from Hale's "Alive Day."

Due to poor sound quality, it was difficult to make out a lot of what was said, is it possible to get a transcript posted?

And may God bless and keep Sgt and Mrs. Hale

Hi Raymond, it was really hard to hear there and I was in the front row. I tried to turn up the volume on the video as much as I could. I don't know if I can get a transcript, but I will look around to see if someone got a better video. There were quite a few videographers there. Thanks for reading!
