Rothrock Road Court Case Postponed to June
Fairlawn officials were supposed to head to court Monday to get a ruling on closing Rothrock Road.
The Copley Township v. Fairlawn City court case about closing Rothrock Road has been postponed, according to Fairlawn City Council President Russ Sharnsky.
Officials were supposed to head to court Monday to get a ruling on whether it was safe to close Rothrock, but the case has been pushed back to June, Sharnsky said.
Fairlawn wanted to close a portion of Rothrock Road at Sawgrass Drive to protect its residents from the traffic of a new Walmart complex. Copley officials said closing the road would be detrimental to everyone and it would slow emergency vehicle response times by one minute.
