Poll: Who Would You Pick to Be Bath's Next Township Administrator?
The field has been narrowed to three applicants. Who would you choose?
The search for Bath Township's next township administrator has been narrowed to three applicants: Vito Sinopoli, Bill Snow and Sharon Troike. All three applicants already work within the district.
The search started in June when Township Administrator Bill Snow announced he was retiring to protect his pension from changes at the state level. He said he wasn't ready to retire, but had to make the decision to protect himself and his family. He asked trustees to consider rehiring him.
Thirty-three people applied for the position, said Trustee Becky Corbett.
At Monday's Bath Trustee Meeting, Trustee Elaina Goodrich made a motion to continue interviewing the three applicants.
"The choice is difficult," Corbett said. "We've given it a lot of thought and time. We are considering all the calls and emails we're getting asking us to keep Bill Snow and from people who are concerned about double dipping."
Trustee Jim Nelson said this process mirrors the hiring process for every individual the township employs.
"We can't really go down the wrong path here though," Nelson said. "We have a great group."
