Akron Police arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with the theft of purses from several local funeral homes, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Raymond Jarvis, 49, was arrested Tuesday night. The Beacon reports he is charged with several counts of receiving stolen property and forgery.

Jarvis is the suspect behind a theft at Ciriello-Carr Funeral Home on Nov. 14 where a woman's purse was stolen from the grieving room during a service.

Thefts also took place in Akron, Copley Township and Cuyahoga Falls.
