What, martin bob? Did you stop watching FOX this week? FOX commentator Sally Kohn said Paul Ryan's convention speech Wednesday night was "an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies," and he's still on a roll. And she's hardly the only one, but some are too timid to use the word. Check out these ridiculous euphemisms:

http://theweek.com/article/index/232670/the-media-coverage-of-paul-ryans-speech-15-euphemisms-for-lying

Why can't the media speak the simple the TRUTH? I can tell you. Ryan LIED his a__ off, but as sure as they spell it out, they will be assailed by trolls who accuse them of so-called liberal bias, when all they are doing is reporting the truth. But folks like you can't handle the truth. It doesn't fit with your little fantasy of an America that looks like Mayberry. Here's a question for you. How do you take America back...to a place that never existed?

Obama is a liar. Remember his 'trasparent' presidency he promised? "I will be on C-SPAN many times discussing decisions and sharing with the American people". America should have at least 2 political parties who are capable of governing in a responsible manner. We just have one at this time. Almost all moderates have been purged from the republican party. Republicans lack the competence to govern and they are not telling the truth about their agenda. Hopefully they will go out of business soon .... and be replaced by a more competent and reasonable conservative political party.

Good luck with that. Make sure to tell everyone of all of his great accomplishments.

He closed GITMO, no more War in Afganistan, civilian trials for terrorists, kept unemployment from going over 8%, balanced the budget, headed the most transparent government ever, stopped the seas from rising...oh wait, none of that happened. He did rush through an ill conceived obamacare package that nobody read, so you do have that!

After the mess Bush left it easily is going to take 4 more years before it is turned around. Don't forget Clinton had a balanced budget with a surplus. Your guy decided he would go to war with Iraq and put it on a credit card. And your new guy wants to go to war in Syria. Yeah, that is just what we need.

How about a bill which will really help like rebuilding our aging infrastructure. The majority of our interstate highways are crumbling, And getting the NLRB out of the way so Boeing can build in South Carolina will create 2,000 jobs? Um what about the 2,000 jobs in Washington State that would be eliminated if they built it? And you need to quit buying into that 60 vote lie. There never was 60 Democrats in the Senate any time in the last 4 years. (271 filibusters by the Republicans prove this)

Why with all of his superior intellect can't he accomplish anything? Doesn't he have the bully pulpit? Perhaps because he has done a lousy job of convincing Americans. Thanks, Clint for proving that crazy is as crazy does, and thanks, Mitt for showing us your vision of an America that never was, but that you somehow want us to return to. And now I know why all these Republican comments describe someone I've never seen. Just like for Clint, there is an Obama that only Republicans can see (thanks Jon). I wish Paul Ryan would stop telling lies intended to frighten the country. Thankfully only a moron is going to believe that Social Security, and Medicare, our country’s two most important social entitlements aren’t collapsing. They are both awash in cash and why would 80 and 50-year-old programs respectively need to be updated or reformed to reflect demographic and societal changes anyway?

Our historic surplus of 15 trillion puts the lie to Ryan’s crazy warnings concerning these programs. In fact, Obama, has added to our surplus at the fastest rate in our history.

I wonder what nutty claims are next for Ryan. That we’re suffering with persistently high unemployment, underemployment and millions of American prematurely dropping out of the labor force? (Black unemployment is not 15%!) Or that the president, our CEO/CFO, has operated the country without a budget for his entire presidency? Even failing to negotiate budget agreements with Congress during the two years in which Democrats ran both the house and the Senate?

On the foreign policy, front look for false charges that the president didn’t win “the good” war in Afghanistan from Romney-Ryan.

One could go on and on listing the potential lies Romney and Ryan could level at The One We Have Been Waiting For, but I don’t want to do all their opposition research.

Well Brian...I guess distortion is contagious amongst you folks. Updating and reforming aren't what Lyin' Ryan and "Nobody loves me but my mother" Mitt have in mind for Social Security and Medicare. But you probably don't read real news. Slicing, dicing and privatizing is more like it. They think it's better to give the insurance companies and their overpaid CEOs a bonus, while we get Medicare vouchers that don't cover the costs. And they're talking about making you wait til 69 or 70 to retire. Obviously you've never done hard physical work or been injured on the job, or you'd know what an asinine idea that is. I KNOW Mitt and Ryan haven't done either.

BTW, you should be arrested for attempted satire.

Your link to foxnews.com lists 3 words to describe Lyin' Ryan's speech...Dazzling (as in dazzling absence of candor or genuineness, I would think?), Deceiving (right on here, as they said, "Republicans should be ashamed that there was even one misrepresentation in Ryan’s speech but sadly, there were many."), and Distracting (again from Fox, "Ryan may have helped solve some of the likeability problems facing Romney, but ultimately by trying to deceive voters about basic facts and trying to distract voters from his own record, Ryan’s speech caused a much larger problem for himself and his running mate.").

I have a more to-the-point 3 words: PACK OF LIES.

I concur with your closing statement, Joseph. "Americans CAN’T TRUST Romney-Ryan!"

Keith Best

Ryan is a breath of fresh air.
Do you want another 4 years of Biden a heartbeat away from the presidency?
Biden is the guy who said "it's about a three letter word, J-O-B-S.
Biden is the guy who told a man in a wheel chair to "stand up and be reocognized."
Biden says the GOP wants to "put ya'll back in chains"
Biden says Americans are better off than we were 4 years ago.
The man is a clown.

Are women allowed in? If so, should they fear having their uteruses annexed and their indivisible personhood abolished?

Ryan & Romney are just RIDICULOUS. At this point, I'm starting to feel sorry for sane & rational Republicans -- as the vocal wingnut extremist end of their lot have taken over. Their campaign is certainly banking on greed, lies, racism, mass ignorance and promises of a theocracy (which is about as anti-American as one can get) -- some strategy.

Heil Romney! Heil Ryan!

I heard women were banned and forced to walk behind the Male counterparts at all times, cannot be seen in public without their husbands (or other male family members), are forced to be covered from head to toe at all times in public, can't go to school, can be honor killed for various reasons, etc...

Oh wait, perhaps most just don't want to publicly fund others "choices," or disapprove of killing the most innocent among us.

Gosh, imagine if women were equal citizens capable of making choices about their own bodies ... oh, wait ... THEY ARE.

You cannot divide a woman. She is either free and in control of her body or she is not.

I cannot believe in 2012 we are still debating laws about controlling our own adult bodies.

Frankly, I think it's bizarre that Republicans & Bigbadskydaddy worshippers think they should have a vote on a woman's uterus. No part of any free citizen is government property -- you don't get a 'vote' about other people's body parts.

And, Tom ... hands off the bunnies! That's where I draw the line.

That's right Richard, yeah for abortions! They should be celebrated, perhaps there can be abortion pride parades!

And women are fully capable of making decisions about their own bodies. Most even understand the potential consequences of intercourse. Some make choices that lead to a little glob of cells that they then make the choice to have sucked out of them. Really no big deal though. It's like picking a scab, that's all.

It's not my body. It's not your body. It's HER body.

It's not about what *I* would do or what you would do -- it's about you & I not having control over other people.

People fail to grasp what a slippery slope it is when the government or a religious group can make decisions about other adult citizens' living bodies. You might not like where that road takes us.

Careful -- someone might annex your 'business' someday -- especially if that's what [insert deity of your choice here] would have wanted.

Government control of a woman's body means she is not free -- annexing and legally dividing her uterus means she's not even an individual -- that is the opposite of emancipation ... the opposite of independent ... the opposite of equal ... the opposite of a free citizen ... the opposite of American.
