Minuteman Q&A: Revere's D.J. Bettinger

Senior point guard strives to always give his all

Fairlawn-Bath Patch: What was the biggest moment of your basketball career so far?

D.J. Bettinger: When our team won the AAU Division II national championship in Memphis going into my eighth-grade year. We made a great run in the tournament to win it all.

Patch: What is something that people really don’t know about you?

DJB: I definitely want people to know I love Jesus Christ. For me, that’s above all else.

Patch: Do you have any brothers who play basketball?

DJB: I have four sisters and they are great. They are awesome. I’ve learned patience and respect from them -- an old-school gentleman kind of deal.

Patch: What is your career goal in life?

DJB: I just always want to give it my all in whatever I do, whether it’s playing basketball or serving the Lord. Whatever it is, I want to be satisfied and give 100 percent all the time. That’s something I really try to think about and stick with all the time.’’

Patch: Kobe or LeBron?

DLB: Kobe. He’s a winner. He wins championships
