Medina Road Key Bank Robbery Suspect Identified
A nearby grocery store employee helped catch the suspect hiding in the woods.
An alert grocery store employee helped Bath Township police catch a man suspected of trying to rob the Medina Road Key Bank today.
The robbery happened just before 2 pm when a man entered the Key Bank, 3983 Medina Rd., Bath Township, and handed the teller a note demanding money. He left the bank on foot without getting any money, police said in a prepared statement.
A few minutes later, a nearby grocery store employee reported unusual activity he saw in a wooded area near the store. Police declined to identify the employee or the store.
By 2:23, Bath Towhship police sergeant found and arrested the suspect, Richard Starr, 42, of Cleveland. Charges against Starr are pending and police noted that Starr has a criminal history that includes bank robbery.
