Local Teens Steal Man's Wallet, Spend His Cash & Use Credit Cards

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department.

Two 17-year-olds broke into a man's locker at the Akron General Medical Center's Health and Wellness Center on Oct. 7 and stole his wallet, according to Bath police.

Chief Michael McNeely said the two boys — one from Bath, the other from Richfield — used the man's cash and credit cards to make several purchases in the Montrose area.

The teens spent several hundred dollars on gasoline, a meal at Chipotle, a movie at Regal Cinemas and several gift cards, McNeely said.

The teens were caught and arrested by Bath Ofc. Dan Reilly and charged with felony theft, misuse of credit cards and the Bath teen was additionally charged with forgery.

They are awaiting a juvenile court date, McNeely said.

Suburban kids can be guilty of stupidity too even though they may come from more priviledged backgrounds! But will they be sentenced the same as law breaking inner city youth remains to be seen.
