Why Go: Naturalist Sarah Matheny will lead a story time with puppets and games. Children 1 year old and up are welcome with an adult guardian.

Why Go: How do snakes breath when their mouths are full? Naturalist Sarah Putnam will tell you. You will also get to see some live snakes up close.

Where/When: The Home Depot, 4066 Medina Rd., Akron; Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Why Go: Home Depot offers how-to sessions on the first Saturday of each month to teach kids ages 5 to 12 years old do-it-yourself skills and tool safety. Participants will bring home a completed project, as well as a kid-sized orange apron, achievement pin and diploma.
