Fugitive Wanted by U.S. Marshals Arrested at Gasoline Alley

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department.

An employee at Gasoline Alley was arrested on Oct. 18 because he was wanted by U.S. Marshals, according to a Bath Township Police report.

William Shawn Thornburg, 39, had a warrant through the Elyria Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff's Office for a felony domestic violence charge and also through the University of Akron for drug abuse, according to the report.

Bath Chief Michael McNeely said restaurants don't typically perform background checks before hiring someone and Thornburg was arrested without incident.

Marshals have been looking for Thornburg since April, McNeely said.
