Fairlawn City Council will look to approve allowing Mayor William Roth to enter into a development agreement with Giant Eagle for the building of a GetGo at tonight's meeting.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.

If approved, the city will enter into the development agreement and Giant Eagle will build a GetGo at the corner of West Market Street and Trunko Road. Giant Eagle representatives hope to break ground in August.

To make way for the extra traffic of a GetGo, Giant Eagle also agreed to pay more than half the cost of widening a portion of Trunko Road. The improvements include a left-turn lane and a left-turn signal.

Bath Township Trustees also meet today at 4 p.m. A copy of the agenda is above.

A GetGo station is needed, but like the GetGo station west of it, the area is too small because cars will be approaching the pumps from all direction because of left and right gas cap access. May I suggest that pumps with hoses centered above the lanes be installed? I've seen this on interstate gas stations before. It allows all vehicles to fuel in the right lane - regardless of gas cap position. This means an orderly flow of cars in and out of the station.
