Around 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 4, police pulled up to an Akron man's car, which was stopped in front of GetGo, and knocked on the window to wake him up, according to a Copley police report.
The man's engine was still running and his foot was on the brake. When he awoke, he was confused about where he was.
The report said officers could smell alcohol on the man's breath and he failed sobriety tests. Once at the station, the 28-year-old refused to take a breath test.
He was cited with driving under the influence and released, according to the report.
Thanks. We'll email you the next time we update this story.

I saw this happen one night last year. I was behind a guy at a stoplight that had gone through its cycle a few times and then I saw some other people across the intersection pulled over. When I got out of my car to check on the driver the people across intersection yelled out that they had called an ambulance. I still wanted to get the drivers attention in case he was having a health emergency instead of stereotyping him as a drunk. He was a drunk and woke up and tried to drive off at 10mph but WHAT IF?
My fiancee was with me and still talks about this as if I did something wrong but its just the way I am to get into a situation that is out of the ordinary and try to figure it out. Was I wrong to check on this guy? There is a lot of things that civilians can help out with immediately and waiting for an ambulance could cause death, like suffocation or drowning. I Still take crap from my fiancee about this years later. This article caused an argument and she just went to bed. What would you have done? It reminds me of stories about homeless people dying in the street from medical emergency or assault because people assume they are drunk and incoherent. The man in the car was black and it was a bad neighborhood and my fiancee is a black female who I assumed would understand. If somebody left her there after a stroke until ambulance arrived she could be dead, if they did it because she was black or in bad area then she would be dead because of prejudice.
