Here are this week's most bizarre police calls, reports and charges. All information was provided by police reports from departments in Patch communities. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Picking a fight with a police officer: Twinsburg police had to use a taser on a drunken man—multiple times—after he tried to fight an officer on Dec. 15. Christopher L. Hoch, 29, of Twinsburg had been sleeping at a Ravenna Road bar, and got a little rowdy when police woke him up and asked him to leave. An officer used a taser on him after Hoch charged the officer and tried to hit him. His outburst continued in the police car and the jail, where he relieved himself on the walls. He eventually fell back to sleep.

Hoch was charged with assault and vandalism, both felonies, and with resisting arrest and intoxication.

A bad place for a nap: Solon Police found a sleeping Bedford woman behind the wheel early in the morning of Dec. 16. Tamara Boykin, 37, was sleeping with her foot on the brake on Aurora Road. Police put the car in park before waking the woman. She failed a sobriety test and got a .176 on a breath test, and police found marijuana in her possession. She was charged with drunken driving, drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and stopping or slow speed.

Entering, but no breaking required: A thief found a subtle way to break into a Stow home earlier this month: The individual used the hidden spare key. The homeowner was missing $700 in cash, and there are no suspects.
