On Dec. 19, Bath police responded to a one-car accident in front of a home in the 4400 block of Rock Ridge Lane, according to a report.
The driver, a 55-year-old Bath Township man, was outside of his car and seemed confused about where he was, the report stated. The man managed to hit someone's mailbox before crashing into a guardrail and stopping.
The man had trouble understanding police officers, but did manage to say that he had taken sleeping pills and drank alcohol. In a breath test, the man blew a 0.111. The legal limit is 0.08.
Police charged the man with driving under the influence, the report stated.
