Drunk Wadsworth Teen Caught With 4 Vodka Bottles, Beer
Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department.
An employee at the West Market Record Exchange called Fairlawn police on June 23 about a drunk man hanging around the parking lot, a police report said.
When police arrived, they found an 18-year-old Wadsworth man slumped over the steering wheel of his car while it was running, the report said. An officer reached in the window of the car and turned it off in an attempt to wake the teen up, but it didn't work. It was then that the officer called an ambulance to the scene.
When the teen got out of the car, officers said he urinated and almost fell down. Paramedics took him to Akron General in Montrose.
When officers searched the car, they found a half empty can of beer in the center console and four vodka bottles, the report said. There was also an empty can of beer outside the car on the ground.
Police followed the ambulance to the hospital to deliver the teen's citations, but he was unconscious, the report said. Pending charges include driving under the influence, underage consumption and open container.
