Schools in Fairlawn and Bath will soon receive more than $120,000 in taxes from the state’s new casinos. 

Figures for this first set of payments were released earlier this week. The Plain Dealer reports that the state is passing out more than $37.9 million in casino taxes to schools and districts across Ohio. Schools will receive their payments—based on enrollment—in January and August each year.

The Copley-Fairlawn City Schools will receive more than $66,000, and the Revere Local Schools will receive about $55,000, according to information on the Ohio Department of Taxation's website. Summit County schools, including charter schools, will receive about $1,629,158 total.
