A cheap date doesn't get much better than free, especially for art lovers.

Head over to downtown Akron on Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. for the monthly Artwalk, and new program Downtown Art Works.

The event will feature Film & Fashion, which is a collaboration between Downtown Akron Partnership, Akron Film+Pixel and the NOTO boutique.

It will include short films, a fashion show, an interactive public competition, and added performers and activity. (Read more about Akron Film+Pixel in this blog post.)

 Downtown Art Works event venues are the normal Artwalk venues and include galleries located in the Northside District, North High Street, East & West Market Street and Main Street.

There will even be strolling performers and musicians, playing guitar, flute, strings and more.
