Big-Ticket Thefts Reported in Fairlawn

The following information was provided by the Fairlawn Police Department

Two leather jackets valued at nearly $4,000 were stolen from Boumadi Clothier at Summit Mall last week.

The store owner reported March 6 that a man took two leather jackets priced at $1,995 each off the display rack and concealed them in plastic bags he was carrying.

The theft was discovered when the owner was reviewing security surveillance tape.

He turned the footage over to police.

What TV?

A security officer at Walmart followed a woman to the parking lot when she brazenly carried a 39-inch TV out of the store.

Police were able to stop the woman's car and recover the set, worth $398, from the trunk.

The woman acknowledged she was planning to sell it.
