The Summit Soil & Water Conservation District is sponsoring a photography contest focusing on the important role that citizens play in keeping our lakes and streams pollution-free and safe.

The district is looking for striking images that capture attention and highlight its yearly theme, which this year is "More Trees, Please."

First prize is $100; second is $50 and third is $25. Deadline to enter is Aug. 1
