Akron Woman Attempts to Steal 11 Walmart DVDs
Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
On Jan. 12, a 19-year-old Akron woman walked into the media section of Walmart and took 11 DVDs from the shelf, according to Fairlawn police.
The woman walked to the hardware section and began shoving the items in her purse before trying to leave the store. Police said the woman was stopped at the exit and $289 worth of DVDs was recovered.
The woman admitted to stealing the items and was given a court summons, according to police.
