John M. van Fossen, M.D., 77, who retired from his family medical practice in Fairlawn in 2003 and was active in the Bath-Fairlawn Rotary Club for more than 35 years, died Sept. 16.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Road, Fairlawn.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Bath United Church of Christ, 3980 Bath Road, Bath Township, OH 44333.
Donations may be made to the church or to the Women's Board of Akron City Hospital.
