“Dancing with the Stars – Revere Style” comes to Revere High School on January 25, 2013
On Friday, January 25, 2013, the Revere High School Dance Team will present their version of the famous television smash hit. Four teams will compete for the coveted “Mirrorball Trophy” while raising money for their favorite charity and the Revere High School Dance Team.
This event will be performed at halftime during the Boys’ Varsity basketball game, Revere vs. Highland High School on Jan. 25, 2013, at approximately 8PM in Revere High School’s Gymnasium, in Richfield, Ohio. There is no additional fee for the halftime show.
Revere’s version of the show will include the “Stars”: Mr. Randy Boroff, Superintendent of Revere Local Schools, Mr. Philip King, Principal of Revere High School, Mr. Bill Schumacher, Revere’s Athletic Director and Mr. John Evans, Assistant Principal of Revere High School. Each team will perform a one-minute dance. The music, costume and choreography have been chosen and created by the Senior Dance Team member. The teams were assigned in October and have been practicing since then as their schedules permit.
Each team selected a charity to support. Votes for the dancing teams are purchased in the form of $1.00 tickets, which are sold at Revere High School and in the community continuing through the evening of Jan. 25. The proceeds will be split between the charities and the RHS Dance Team. The team who obtains the most votes (sells the most tickets) wins the Mirrorball Trophy. The winning team will be announced at the end of the game on January 25.
